Very disappointing local mechanic shop. Took my vehicle in for issues with my air conditioning and was quoted an approximate repair of $1400. Took it to a “mom & pop” shop for a second opinion. I don’t think Sloan’s was very happy as I got a phone call from these thieves telling me how my vehicle is prone to air-conditioning issues and my particular issue is amongst the most common?! Interesting... This mom & pop shop got it fixed for $200. I wanted to give Sloans an opportunity to make it right, also the fact that they charged me $120 to diagnose the issue I wanted my money back, so I called them and told them my air conditioning was fixed for $200. The manager asked me to bring my car in for a learning opportunity for his staff. I complied and brought the vehicle in so everyone could see and the manager nicely refunded me my money for the diagnostic fee and nothing else. Lesson learned.... DO NOT TRUST THIS ESTABLISHMENT.
Johan you're right, we missed in a costly way on this one. I completely understand your frustration with us, I would feel the same way. I'm glad you got it fixed right in the end, and I'm very appreciative that you allowed us to see the mistake we had made. I was able to review your situation with my entire staff to help ensure something like this doesn't happen again. We're better than this. I wish there was more I could have done to make it right to you. Thanks for letting us know instead of staying quiet about it.
