When my power steering went out on my Ford Taurus (2015), I was stuck. My car had an electrical power steering system, so it took a ridiculous amount of strength just to get it to the curb. Sloan's Automotive came recommended to me by a few friends and I had my vehicle towed there. Unfortunately it was a fairly big job (Rack and pinion needed to be replaced and the system needed reprogramming), so I was really appalled by the initial estimated prices. However, my advisor, Omid, was great - he walked me through all the pricing and reasons for certain costs, they provided me with a detailed inspection report that showed the images of where my car had problems along with the codes that came up, and Omid worked with me to ensure I was making the best decision based on the repairs I needed to get it running vs. the service items that could wait until later. What I really liked about Sloan's Automotive, aside from the family feel of the shop, was the transparency of the pricing (I really valued how everything was detailed out by parts cost, labor cost, and supplies), honesty and empathy of the team there (Omid is fantastic), the fact that they communicated with me early and often, and that they were convenient for me to get to. Honesty and empathy go a long way for me, so I really appreciate their business. I mention my power steering above, but I also asked them to replace my break pads, do a wheel alignment, tire rotation, change the cabin air filter, and changed my car oil since they were working on the car.
