    • -David M.

Always friendly, knowledgeable, and fair. Best service in town. I LOVE that they give back to the community.

    • -Kris H.

I love these guys! They take care of you and always have smiles on their faces. The expertise of their work, the timeliness of the work done and the trust is important to me and they accomplish all of that. Thanks to Kenny, Will, Jim and Terry and those whose names I don't know but do an awesome job!

    • -Maureen T.

The work needed is presented with upfront and honest information. They diagnosed issues specific to the problems I went in for, nothing more. Also seems like a trusted neighborhood resource for a lot of DIYers who couldn't complete work in their driveway. Trustworthy.

    • -Peter B.

Excellent service. I was calling for an inspection on a vehicle 2000 miles away. It?s a first car for my son and they made me comfortable that everything was in good working order and a safe vehicle. Kind good people- highly recommended!

    • -Misty S.

I came here to Sloan's to get my car looked at. I'm beyond impressed! Will, the gentleman who was at the counter treated me with the greatest costumer service. He was friendly, knowledgeable and funny! Their bathroom was unbelievably clean and smelled great! Very woman friendly! I recommend Sloan's to everyone needing their car fixed!

    • -Allen K.

I have been using these guys now for almost 10 years. Just when you think they have done their best for you they step it up again. On the way to sell my van it breaks down. the sale hangs in the balance. Call Kenny and in 6 hours its towed repaired and ready to go. He stayed late on his time to fix it. Where you going get that service? Nowhere but here. Thank you guys. Can't say enough. My Shop for auto repair. 10+.

    • -Alfredo B.

Great service, honest and do a great job communicating with you on progress of your vehicle. I like getting a copy of the diagnostic sent to me through text via a link.

    • -Anthony C.

Great place to get a car serviced. The office area was nice and welcoming. Every encounter I had with an employee was a great experience. Honest and reliable work. I really appreciate their hospitality.

    • -Lora K.

The shop is always clean, Prices are reasonable, Staff is always pleasant -- would highly recommend!

    • -Mark S.

Always honest and prices are fair. They quickly fixed an A/C issue that two other garages and the dealer couldn't figure out. They get all my work and my referrals.

    • -Alex R.

Fair, transparent, friendly, efficient, accommodating. All words not commonly associated with mechanics, Sloan's embodies them. It's always a pleasure to see Jim, and this shop is always busy (a good sign)! Last time I went for a diagnostic and oil change, I grabbed a bite next door at the Fillin' station. Done in an hour.

    • -Drachecka B.

Friendly, helpful & reasonably priced. I would recommend to family, friends & associates.

    • -Lisa S.

Very honest and trustworthy. Was upfront about a potentially costly repair, but when an easier route worked out, they let me know and I ended up with a much cheaper option. Very happy with their service and communication. I'd use these mechanics again in a heartbeat.

    • -Robert K.

Professional and certified. Quality shop to take your vehicle to, especially if you plan to keep it long term. They assess problems especially well and discuss all solutions with you ahead of time. Highly recommend!

    • -Melanie J.

Excellent Service! Very Reliable & Knowledgeable Team! Will recommend Sloan's Automotive to ALL my family and friends! Thank you :)

    • -Mark C.

First time customer with an immediate and unscheduled vehicle problem. I initially chatted online with Sloan?s, and from then on received excellent treatment, clear communication, and successful repairs were completed by COB the following day. Diagnosis was first sent to me via email, with a follow up call. Necessary work was identified, with other less critical issues deferred for another day. At checkout, the charges were exactly as specified in the initial conversation, and the vehicle has performed very well since. Sloan?s earned more business from my four-car family with this engagement.

    • -Alejandro E.

Highly recommended! Responsible, honest people and high quality service, I can safely say you will not be let down. If Kenny or Jim or anyone at Sloan's sees this please give a big hug to Ann from Raquel and me! We're in New Orleans now and the car has had no issues at all. Thanks to all the team!

    • -Erich S.

My entire family has been HUGE fans for the better part of 20 years! Great service and people! Highly recommend!!!!!

  • According to recent studies, 5 percent of all motor vehicle fatalities are clearly caused by automobile maintenance neglect.
  • The cooling system should be completely flushed and refilled about every 24 months. The level, condition, and concentration of coolant should be checked. (A 50/50 mix of anti-freeze and water is usually recommended.)
  • Never remove the radiator cap until the engine has thoroughly cooled. The tightness and condition of drive belts, clamps and hoses should be checked by a pro.
  • Change your oil and oil filter as specified in your manual, or more often (every 3,000 miles) if you make frequent short jaunts, extended trips with lots of luggage or tow a trailer.
  • Replace other filters (air, fuel, PCV, etc.) as recommended, or more often in dusty conditions. Get engine drivability problems (hard stops, rough idling, stalling, diminished power, etc.) corrected at a good shop.
  • A dirty windshield causes eye fatigue and can pose a safety hazard. Replace worn blades and get plenty of windshield washer solvent.
  • Have your tires rotated about every 5,000 miles. Check tire pressures once a month; let the tires cool down first. Don't forget your spare and be sure your jack is in good condition.
  • Check your owner's manual to find out what fuel octane rating your car's engine needs then buy it.
  • Keep your tires inflated to the proper levels. Under-inflated tires make it harder for your car to move down the road, which means your engine uses more fuel to maintain speed.
  • Lighten the load. Heavier vehicles use more fuel, so clean out unnecessary weight in the passenger compartment or trunk before you hit the road.
  • Use the A/C sparingly. The air conditioner puts extra load on the engine forcing more fuel to be used.
  • Keep your windows closed. Wide-open windows, especially at highway speeds, increase aerodynamic drag and the result is up to a 10% decrease in fuel economy.
  • Avoid long idling. If you anticipate being stopped for more than one minute, shut off the car. Contrary to popular belief, restarting the car uses less fuel than letting it idle.
  • Stay within posted speed limits. The faster you drive, the more fuel you use. For example, driving at 65 miles per hour (mph) rather than 55 mph, increases fuel consumption by 20 percent.
  • Use cruise control. Using cruise control on highway trips can help you maintain a constant speed and, in most cases, reduce your fuel consumption.
  • Keep your engine tuned. A fouled spark plug or plugged/restricted fuel injector can reduce fuel efficiency as much as 30 percent.
  • Inspect the engine's belts regularly. Look for cracks or missing sections or segments. Worn belts will affect the engine performance.
  • Have the fuel filter changed every 10,000 miles to prevent rust, dirt and other impurities from entering the fuel system.
  • Change the transmission fluid and filter every 15,000 to 18,000 miles. This will protect the precision-crafted components of the transmission/transaxle.
  • Inspect the suspension system regularly. This will extend the life of the vehicle's tires.
