Today was the second time I have visited Sloan's since moving to Florida, and again I have been highly impressed. The staff at Sloan's (especially the guys at the front desk) are polite and extremely helpful, taking time to explain to me what was going on with my car, and what services were most urgent to least necessary for the functionality of my vehicle. They even have an entire checklist they will send to your email/phone to show you visually all the items that could be worked on, and their level of necessity. At Sloan's I've never felt pushed or coerced into any extraneous service, the staff at the very most making light suggestions where they believed something extra might be worth the time and money (more often then not being completely correct). They also frequently send out coupons and other deals which really aid those of us who aren't rolling in riches. On top of the helpful and friendly nature of the staff, they are punctual and willing to work with your schedule to the best of their ability to fit you in when convenient for you. Most importantly though, these guys do good work. I've never had to bring my car back in for a repeat problem, and the mechanics here have experience beyond what is necessary, for example: they found and informed me about a malfunction in one of my tires, explaining the problems I was seeing in a courteous but simple enough way so that I could go get it fixed (they unfortunately didn't have the equipment to fix the tire issue, otherwise I'd have trusted the job to no one else). My fiancee and I both swear by Sloan's for any car issues they are able to fix, as they are polite, helpful, use honest and transparent business practices, and do some darn fine work.
